Introducing Hatchery at Preston Farm

Hatchery at Preston Farm - Mcmullan Studio / Brick Visual

We are delighted to announce that we have received full planning permission for our community-focused rural workspace near Sevenoaks.

Our hope is that Hatchery at Preston Farm will become a useful and valued asset for local people, offering a high-quality, flexible and friendly working environment for small businesses, freelancers and makers.

It will also offer a flexible option for home-workers wanting a change of scenery and for would-be commuters looking for a professional environment closer to home.

Our concept is built on the idea of a traditional farmstead being a place of enterprise, production and community, but evolving its design and functionality to serve modern-day needs in a sustainable way.

The site is walking distance from Shoreham village railway station, which provides direct access to and from central London in under 1 hour.

On-site amenities will include meeting and events space; a cafe; a personal and group training studio; and showers and changing rooms to support healthy lifestyles and sustainable travel.

Our aspiration for Hatchery is to create places that offer a different experience of work. Rooted in nature, community and wellbeing and with a positive impact on the planet.

Whilst working through the planning process we have already set to work on a number of environmental projects around the farm, including the creation of a new wetlands habitat and planting approximately 1,000 trees, with the support of local wildlife and landscape charities and over 100 volunteers.

We hope to open our doors in Sevenoaks in late 2023 and are welcoming early applications for offices, coworking desks and makerspace studios via this form or the button below.
